In previous discussions, inertial measurement units (IMUs) have been widely used in various fields, especially in key infrastructure areas such as automotive inspection, bridge inspection, and water conservancy inspection. In addition to its wide range of application scenarios, inertial measurement units are also indispensable in smaller fields such as camera stabilization systems, micro robots, wearable devices, and so on. For the broad market demand, EPSON has designed a small 6-degree-of-freedom inertial measurement unit - Epson M-G364 series high-performance IMU, to meet higher sensitivity and accuracy applications.
Working principle of M-G364PDC0/M-G364PDCA
The M-G364 series inertial measurement unit can measure three-axis angular velocity and linear acceleration, and can provide high stability and precision measurement functions by using high-precision compensation technology. Support SPI/UART bus communication for convenient data transmission and control with the host. All calibration information is saved in the built-in storage of the IMU. When the IMU is powered on, these calibration information will be automatically loaded onto the measurement data and sent to the application in real time.
