Epson launches TCXO for automobiles: TG2016SKA, TG2016SLA for in car GNSS and V2X

     Epson has launched two new TCXOs for automobiles: TG2016SKA and TG2016SLA. Suitable for the frequency slope and G-sensitivity received by the vehicle mounted GNSS global navigation satellite system, as well as the low jitter characteristics of V2X's Wi Fi.

    TG2016SKA and TG2016SLA are temperature compensated crystal oscillators that comply with automotive grade AEC-Q100. It uses IC and MHz basic crystals developed and manufactured by Epson, which can support high temperatures up to 105C. Another characteristic of TG2016SKA and TG2016SLA is miniaturization, with external dimensions of only 2.0x1.6x0.7 mm. It is a temperature compensated 2016 crystal oscillator that meets market development needs, with an output frequency of 13 MHz to 55 MHz. Power supply voltage: typical value is 1.8V/3.3V. Working temperature TG2016SKA: -40 ℃ to+105 ℃. TG2016SLA: -40 ℃ to+85 ℃. From this, it can be seen that both are temperature compensated crystal oscillators for automobiles, but there are still some differences between the two.

      As shown in the above figure, the TG2016SKA and TG2016SLA automotive grade temperature compensated crystal oscillators have similar parameters except for the highest temperature, and can be applied to GNSS automotive global navigation satellite systems, V2X automotive wireless communication technology, TCU (vehicle networking remote control unit), DSRC: dedicated short-range communication, etc.
