The aging social infrastructure and the soaring costs of infrastructure maintenance, monitoring, and updating are considered serious social problems faced by countries and communities, especially in highly urbanized countries. Driven by such an environment and awareness, there is an increasing demand for technology that utilizes sensors to monitor structural health. Epson has launched two new high-performance accelerators, M-A552AC1 and M-A552AR1.

M-A552AC1 and M-A552AR1 have the same performance as M-A352, but have higher impact resistance (1200G (four times that of Epson's M-A550 series products); Lower noise: (0.5uG/VHz type); Wider dynamic range (27 bits) and innovative noise resistant direct digital conversion technology. M-A552AC10 and M-A552AR10 share many similarities: integrated sensor: M-A352AD; Size: 65x60x30mm; Weight: 128g; Power supply voltage: 9-30v. The biggest difference between the two products is that they come standard with CAN (M-A552AC10) and RS-422 (M-A552AR10) interfaces. These interfaces are widely used in industrial applications, and the demand for them has always been strong. They are placed in metal packaging, providing waterproof and dustproof protection equivalent to an IP67. This sensor unit uses new technologies to improve performance and provide a wider sensing bandwidth. Support host communication through CAN (Network Protocol for Automotive and Industrial Applications) interface or RS422 interface. This high-level protection of elements enables these products to be widely used in industrial applications that require long-distance and excellent stability and reliability.

These products provide the high-level performance required for structural health monitoring and other industrial applications, as well as the flexibility to make the system easy to build. They also make it easy to build multi node (multi-point) measurement systems, synchronous measurement systems, and other complex and precise measurement systems. Due to their ease of installation, connection, and use, these accelerometers can greatly reduce customer system development time even in outdoor and other harsh environmental conditions.

The following are the specific models of the M-A552AC1 and M-A552AR1 Epson high-performance accelerometers

2. M-A552AC1 and M-A552AR1 are widely used in structural detection related projects:

1) Architectural and civil engineering clients

Safety monitoring during construction of civil engineering structures. For example, ensuring safety by monitoring the tilting of structures during construction. 2) Large machinery and structures

3) Tilt measurement of ships and large machinery

4) Large scale structural safety monitoring
