EPSON has launched a low ESR 32.768kHz crystal oscillator unit FC3215AN series. The FC3215AN series crystal unit adopts a compact package of 3.2x1.5mm, with a maximum thickness of only 0.9mm, which can be easily integrated into various compact devices, especially suitable for portable devices with limited space. Despite its compact size, the FC3215AN crystal can operate stably within a wide temperature range of -40 ° C to+105 ° C, demonstrating excellent environmental adaptability.
The FC3215AN series crystal unit adopts lead-free metal top cover and welding seam sealing packaging technology, which provides an additional protective layer, enabling FC3215AN to not only work stably in a wide temperature range, but also resist various harsh environmental conditions such as humidity, vibration, and impact. This packaging technology ensures that the crystal unit can maintain its accuracy and reliability even in extreme environments, making it particularly suitable for devices that require stable operation outdoors or in industrial environments.
Equivalent series resistance (ESR) is a key electrical parameter for measuring crystal oscillation losses. The typical ESR value of FC3215AN crystal unit is 35k Ω (at+25 ° C), with a maximum value of 50k Ω in the temperature range of -40 ° C to+85 ° C, while the maximum value in the entire operating temperature range of -40 ° C to+105 ° C is only 60k Ω. Low ESR means lower oscillation losses, ensuring high stability and reliability of the crystal unit. The following figure shows the ESR value test curves at different temperatures:
The frequency deviation of FC3215AN crystal unit is ± 20x10-6 (commonly known as ± 20ppm), which can provide an accurate time reference. This high-precision feature makes it an ideal choice for wireless module sub clocks, low-power microcontroller sub clocks, and battery powered IoT products.
