    With the continuous improvement of safety, comfort, and environmental requirements in modern cars, the number of circuits and electricity consumption in cars have significantly increased. As a result, a large number of wire harnesses are used in limited car spaces. How to arrange them more effectively and reasonably has become a problem faced by the automotive manufacturing industry. This article focuses on the layout of car wire harnesses and provides a brief introduction to the precautions for car wire harness layout.

一、 Reasonable arrangement of wire harness fixing points and reliable fixation

(1) According to the actual installation position of the wiring harness on the entire vehicle, in order to avoid low sag and displacement of the wiring harness, and considering the weight, fixing method, and convenience of fixing position of the wiring harness, there must be sufficient and reasonable fixing points and fixing methods for the wiring harness to be fixed.

(2) Set fixed points based on the direction of the wiring harness and the specific shape of the vehicle body. The distance between two fixed points on a straight line without a support point is generally not more than 300mm; A fixed point can be arranged at the obtuse angle turning point position; Two fixed points need to be arranged at the right angle turning point; Avoid sharp turning points in the bundle.

(3) Choose the type and size of the fixing clip based on the shape and outer diameter of the wire harness, and meet the needs of bearing the weight of the wire harness.

(4) Consider setting fixed points at the appropriate position not greater than 120mm in front of the connectors connected to other wire harnesses and electrical components.

(5) Consider setting fixed points on the main line at the fulcrum position, with a distance of no more than 100mm from the fulcrum.

(6) There must be sufficient space in the installation direction of the fixed buckle to facilitate the installation and removal of the buckle.

二、 Neat appearance and bundled configuration

(1) The wiring harness should be arranged along the edge and along the groove (the wiring groove designed on the vehicle body) to avoid direct pressure on the wiring harness. There must be no exposed wiring harnesses inside the cab; At locations where the wiring harness can be observed, such as in the engine compartment, prominent attraction points or colors should be set up. The wiring harness installed here should not protrude or be conspicuous.

(2) The arrangement is arranged in a horizontal and vertical chessboard pattern in the projection direction, avoiding diagonal lines.

(3) The gap with the pipeline is uniform, and the gap with surrounding components is reasonable.
