Application of Active Crystal Oscillator SG-210STF Electrical Port Optical Module

In the electrical port optical module, the network PHY chip requires a 25MHz active crystal oscillator. Epson Crystal Oscillator, as a globally renowned manufacturer, has launched the active crystal oscillator SG-210STF (X1G004171005900), which is a low-cost and small-sized active crystal oscillator SG-210STF with a small package of 2.5x2.0x0.8mm, meeting the small volume requirements of the module and maintaining frequency stability within an industrial grade temperature range of+50PPM.

The voltage range of the SG-210STF crystal oscillator power supply is 1.6V~3.6V, which is convenient for power supply and has a power consumption as low as 1.5mA. It has an ST standby function, which can save module power consumption. Epson's SG-210STF crystal oscillator is beneficial for reducing power consumption and stable operation, making it a good choice. The frequency range is between 1MHZ-75MHz. This active crystal oscillator has excellent frequency stability at room temperature, with a maximum frequency aging of+25ppm (@ -20~+70 ℃ C) and a frequency aging of only+3ppm (@+25 ℃, first year). The power consumption of the SG-210STF active crystal oscillator is related to the operating voltage and frequency. The current consumed varies slightly in different frequency ranges and output voltages. The maximum current consumed is 1.8mA at 3.3V frequency 1M-20MHz, and VCC=1.8V ± 10% at 20M-40MHz. The current consumption does not exceed 1.8mA. For 40M-60MHz, VCC=3.3V ± 10%, the current consumption does not exceed 2.6mA, and the maximum current consumption is 3mA at 60M-75MHz. The external size of the crystal oscillator is 2.5 * 2.0 * 0.8mm, which meets miniaturization requirements. The temperature range can reach -40~105 ℃, which is higher than industrial temperature requirements and can be applied in harsh environments. In addition, the load of the SG-210STF A capacitance of no more than 15pF is beneficial in avoiding the occurrence of misoperation in the system.
