The automotive grade clock module RTC: RA8900CE is used for high-precision timing in vehicles such as T-BOX. The real-time clock chip RA8900CE in vehicles is equipped with a 32.768Khz crystal, achieving precise timing of years, months, days, weeks, hours, minutes, and seconds. RA8900CE meets AEC-Q200 certification, with built-in temperature compensation function to ensure stable and reliable real-time clock. The power consumption is as low as 0.7uA, which can meet low-power requirements. The vehicle mounted remote information terminal T-BOX is the interaction hub between the vehicle and the network. It connects the body control system through the CAN communication network, and the Internet through Bluetooth and 4G to realize the vehicle networking function. For the car mounted T-BOX, it also needs to serve as a black box (event recording) function, so it is necessary to record important information such as time and car status events, and a reliable clock source is needed. The usual implementation method is to use a stable crystal clock at 32.768kHz and an RTC driver chip to achieve real-time clock function.
The integrated real-time clock chip RA8900CE simplifies the design and manufacturing process, with a built-in 32.768Khz crystal chip, eliminating the need for clock matching. The built-in TCXO temperature compensation function reduces the instability of the clock. The working current is only 0.7uA, meeting the requirements of low power consumption in vehicles. The size is 3.2 * 2.5 * 1.0mm, and the small size is suitable for PCB layout. It supports IIC communication interface and is used for applications in vehicle information exchange terminals.
