With the widespread application of sweepers, lawn mowers are gradually being upgraded from manual mowers to automatic mowers, which do not require manual operation and can automatically complete tasks such as cutting and charging. The GGPMO1LK gyroscope previously developed by Epson, which was applied to the sweeper, no longer meets the requirements of an automatic lawn mower. After practical experiments, EPSON developed the GGPM61-C01 model gyroscope for automatic lawn mowers, which can output three-axis acceleration values, three-axis angular velocity values, and attitude angles (Pitch, Roll, Yaw). In this way, the automatic lawn mower can still ensure the accuracy of the heading angle when encountering uneven grass or large slopes.

GGPM61-C01 is a gyroscope module developed based on high-performance gyroscopes and sensors. It is a low-cost small heading angle output sensor based on QMEMS sensors. Relying on high-precision sensors, high-performance processors, and digital signal processing algorithms, GGPM61 outputs very stable heading angles, real-time angular velocity, and temperature. The module can support UART or IIC data communication and adopts a stamp half hole SMT interface, with a size of 15.24 * 17.81mm.

Application of GGPM61-C01 in Commercial Service Robots:

The GGPM61-C01 module is a high-precision single axis gyroscope chip based on crystal material developed by EPSON, which integrates a six axis IMU motion sensor chip internally. The GGPM61 module has a gyroscope module that outputs six axis data and attitude angles. The GGPM61 module is equipped with a high-performance processor and digital signal processing algorithm, which can stably output heading and attitude parameters;

GGPM61 can also output environmental temperature data, and its internal algorithm has temperature compensation. It can be used normally within the working temperature range of -40 ℃ -85 ℃; GGPM61-C01 external MCU can directly read the calibrated data through UART or IIC bus interface. For users, there is no need to perform more calibration algorithms to obtain the robot's motion posture; Enable commercial service robots to serve people with ease in shopping malls.
