RX4901CE (RTC module)

  • Mar 18,2024
RX4901CE is an RTC module that integrates a 32.768 kHz digital temperature compensated crystal oscillator (DTCXO). High stability, low current consumption, timestamp function, can record up to 32 dates and times when external or internal events occur, as well as basic RTC functions such as time and calendar, time alarms, wake-up timers, and time update interrupts. The RX4901CE combines automatic power switch function, including a control circuit to prevent reverse current from the main power supply, continuous temperature correction 32.768 kHz clock generation, and Seiko Epson's original low current consumption technology, achieving long battery life on various systems.

summary

·Built in frequency adjustment 32.768 kHz crystal units

·Interface type SPI-Bus interface 3-wire, 4-wire

·Low backup current 240na/3v

·The automatic power switch function automatically switches to a backup power source by monitoring the VDD voltage

·The timestamp function can be used up to 32 times. From year stamp to 1/1024 second.

·Time update interruption every hour, every minute, and the second time

·Alarm clock interrupt in days, dates, hours, minutes, seconds

·Automatic repeat wake-up timer interrupt

·The self monitoring interrupts the crystal oscillation and stops. VBAT low, VDD low

Trigger source: External event (EVIN) input, voltage drop/oscillation stop detected, host command input

Record data: 1/1024 second to 1 second, second, minute, hour,

Day, month, year

Recordable number of events: up to 32 events backup power switch function

Monitor VDD and VBAT voltages to switch between normal mode (VDD operation) and backup mode (VBAT operation).

Clock output (FOUT)

Can be selected from outputs of 32.768 kHz, 1024 Hz, and 1 Hz

The output can be controlled by registers or FOE inputs (selectable through registers).
