EPSON, a subsidiary of Seiko, has developed a programmable crystal oscillator with the exclusive corporate spirit of "saving, small, and precision". It has long received support and praise from users. In order to expand its product line, it has launched two new series of products: SG-8101 series and SG-9101 series. The dual series new products offer a wider operating temperature range and reduce current consumption by 50%. Compared with current counterparts, the SG-8101 has a 66% narrower frequency error. Users can choose to pair with existing SG Writer II dedicated burners to define the center frequency of SG-8101 and SG-9101 series crystal oscillators that can reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI).

In recent years, the demand for miniaturized, multifunctional, and highly reliable electronic instruments/products has increased significantly, and they are used in various environments such as harsh outdoor environments and factory interiors. Therefore, the demand for quartz oscillators to provide better frequency stability and wider operating temperatures is increasing day by day. Since the launch of the world's first programmable crystal oscillator SG-8000 series in 1997, Epson has been committed to providing the market with small and accurate programmable quartz oscillators. Epson, which possesses multiple high-efficiency, sophisticated, and precise technologies, has developed the new SG-8101 series and SG-9101 series using a combination of QMEMS, semiconductor, and temperature compensated quartz oscillator (TCXO) frequency adjustment technology.

Compared with Epson products of the same level, the two series of products not only provide the same simple setting of center frequency and other parameters, but also have a wider operating temperature range: the highest temperature upper limit can reach 105 ° C. In addition to the 2.5 mm x 2.0 mm size that allows electronic device manufacturers to save motherboard space, the following popular industry standard sizes are also available: 3.2 mm x 2.5 mm, 5.0 mm x 3.2 mm, and 7.0 mm x 5.0 mm.

Compared with Epson's products of the same level, the SG-8101 series oscillator has a 66% narrower frequency error and reduces current consumption by about 50%. The consumption current of SG-9101 series spread frequency quartz oscillator has been significantly reduced by 75% compared to current products. Users can purchase Epson SG Writer II as an optional option and use the user-defined function to set the desired output frequency, as well as the required output frequency modulation range and cycle ratio.

Epson's new quartz oscillator can be used in a wide range of harsh environmental conditions. They can significantly improve efficiency, reduce power consumption, shorten user product development time, and are very suitable for early product testing and production, as well as small-scale diversified production, greatly in line with the current market trend of developing a small amount of uniqueness.
